2018 Cobra CX65 Highlights & Improvement

At the apex of Cobra’s model lineup is the multi-National championship winning CX65.  The 2018 CX65 will continue to lead its class in engine output and suspension performance, and additionally, Cobra engineers focused on weight savings and handling improvements primarily through the introduction of an all-new set of wheels for 2018.

  • NEW!  Works Wheel Set –  The CX65 wheel sets have always been indestructible works of art. For 2018, we couldn’t leave well-enough alone, however. All-new rims, spokes, brake discs, and hubs maintain the CX65s great looks and class-leading durability while dropping a large amount of un-sprung and rotating weight. The result? Better working suspension, better handling, improved straight-line acceleration, and improved ‘whipability’!

  • NEW!  Swingarm Pivot Bearing – All-new for 2018 is a ultra-low friction swingarm bearing that will improve suspension action and reduce maintenance.

  • NEW!  Dunlop Geomax MX3S Intermediate-Terrain Tires – The 3S has proven itself to be the ultimate minicycle tire over the past few years, so of course Cobra will offer it as standard equipment. No corners cut here!

  • NEW!  Transmission – Smaller dogs on 2nd & 3rd gear enable cleaner and quicker shifts.

  • Tri-Port Cylinder Engine – Cobra’s 2018 CX65 engine is a beast! Not only are peak numbers best-in-class, but the CX65 achieves an incredibly flat torque curve. The result: lots of grunt for great holeshots and carving the inside line in addition to massive over-rev that keeps pulling down the longest of straightaways.

  • Power Valve – The CX65’s computer controlled power valve is the best in the business. Not only does it provide better bottom-end power by sealing off to the piston better than the competition, but it opens and closes with electronic precision.
