MAMMOTH LAKES, Calif. , Cobra riders made their mark in the mountains at Mammoth Motocross, stacking up an impressive collection of the event’s iconic wooden carved bear awards across two days of mini racing.
At Mammoth, top-10 finishers are awarded carved bears each day, along with additional bears for the two-day overall results. When the final motos were complete, Cobra riders had earned 54 total bear-award placements across Day 1, Day 2, and the two-day overall standings.
Leading the charge was Tanner Hatfield #1, who swept the 51cc (6-8) division by going 1-1-1-1, taking first on Day 1, first on Day 2, and first in the two-day overall. Cobra riders also filled the entire top 10 in the 51cc (6-8) overall results, showcasing the strength of the brand in one of the most competitive mini classes at Mammoth.
In the 65cc ranks, Cobra riders continued to deliver, with standout results from Billy Mclaughlin #779, Luke Witt #74, Bretton Gonzales #555, Gage Villopoto #111, Mason Sperry #51, and more. Mclaughlin added another major highlight by taking the Day 2 win in 65cc (7-9).

From daily podiums to overall awards, Cobra riders proved once again that the CX platform continues to perform at the highest level of amateur motocross. Mammoth’s carved bears are among the most unique trophies in the sport, and this year, a whole lot of them went home with Cobra families.
