The Road to Loretta’s continued this past weekend at the Prairie City OHV Midwest Regional, where Cobra riders added another impressive group of qualifiers to the growing list of riders heading to Loretta Lynn’s Ranch.
Across the Micro and 65cc divisions, Cobra riders secured race wins, podium finishes, and valuable qualifying positions as the journey toward the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship continues.
Leading the Cobra effort was Ryder Kruger, who delivered one of the most impressive performances of the weekend. Kruger swept both motos in 65cc (10-11) Limited and 65cc 10-11, earning overall victories in both classes and securing two tickets to Loretta’s.
The Micro divisions also showcased the strength of Cobra’s youth racing program. Hudson Ferris earned the overall win in Micro E with a perfect 1-1 moto score, while Jaxson Walden claimed the Micro 2 overall victory with consistent 2-1 finishes. Keone Nagamine was equally dominant in Micro 3, sweeping both motos on his way to the overall win.
In the highly competitive 65cc (7-9) classes, Brax Villopoto continued his strong regional campaign with runner-up finishes in both 65cc (7-9) Limited and 65cc 7-9. Additional Cobra qualifiers included Gage Villopoto, Bretton Gonzales, Mason Sperry, Ryder Smith, and Parker Donnelly, helping further expand Cobra’s presence at this year’s National Championship.
“One of the things that stands out about Cobra riders is their consistency throughout the qualification process,” said Marc Canellas, Cobra Elite Team Manager. “The pressure only increases at the regional level, and our riders continue to rise to the occasion. Ryder’s performance was outstanding, and it was great to see Hudson, Jaxson, Keone, Brax, and so many others earn their way to Loretta’s. We’re proud of the effort these riders and families continue to put in every weekend.”
As riders continue punching their tickets to Tennessee, Cobra MOTO encourages all qualified riders to complete the official I Qualified registration form at www.cobramoto.com/iqualified.
Qualified riders who register by July 15 will receive updates on Cobra activities at Loretta’s and help the Cobra team prepare personalized rider swag bags and commemorative dog tags for registration.
